Dr Angela is very passionate about her profession. The combination of a varied academic, practice and hospital background has given her a breadth of knowledge and a great platform to provide a very high standard of patient centred care. Her core values: integrity, performance, and challenge, underpin her approach to providing an excellent level of periodontal care by working together with both her team and patients. She thrives to provide her patients with the latest evidence-based information to promote optimal periodontal health, with a particular interest in educating patients about the link between systemic disease and periodontal health.
Dr Angela completed her 5-year dental degree at Kings College London in 2007. Prior to gaining her dental degree she gained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a MSc degree in Immunology from Kings College London.
After gaining her 5-year dental degree, Angela returned to Sussex, where she grew up to complete her vocational training year. She was awarded the 1st prize in the Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery Vocational Training Scheme Restorative Clinical Case Presentation.
Since 2008, Angela has worked for a number of years in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery as a Senior House Officer at St George’s Hospital in South London. During her three years working as a Senior House Officer Angela gained surgical and medical experience, assisting, and observing surgeons in head and neck cancer operations, orthognathic surgery, head, and neck trauma and dentoalveolar surgery. During this period, she presented research at the British Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons annual scientific meeting.
Angela additionally worked for a further 5 years as a Speciality Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Croydon University Hospital, performing dentoalveolar surgery under general and local anaesthetic.
She has completed the 4-year specialist training programme in Periodontology at Kings College London, Guys Hospital. She passed her specialist qualification with merit and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She is also a joint member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the Faculty of General Dental Practice of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
When she is away from the dental setting, she enjoys collecting art and visiting galleries and exhibitions with her husband and daughter. Angela is also an avid football fan and supporter of several charities.
